This set from the West German manufacturer Ruscha Art is a prime example of 1960s studio pottery. The set consists of an organically shaped, asymmetrical dish and a matching vase, both decorated with a mottled purple and deep black glaze. The tactile surface of the glaze gives each piece an individual expression, characteristic of Ruscha's "Art" series. The set is in excellent vintage condition.
